Theatrical-Performance as part of the Acting Exam
Theatrical-Performance | BRIDGES | - this is a monologue of one Woman, her thoughts and the search for answers in herself..
In reflections about this world, she tries to understand herself..
| BRIDGES | - is a symbiosis of characters in real form (on the video) and images of thought with a metaphor through plastic gestures, as an addition to the language of psycho-physics (on the stage).
The action is synchronized, which creates the effect of a continuous flow of thought in two realities, as a whole.
Theatrical-Performance | BRIDGES | took place in the atmospheric walls of a historic building.
And the "space puzzles" came together so well that on the day of the exam, the Gallery had an exposition of paintings with a marine theme! The space was reminiscent of the "deck of a ship", in the "windows" of which sea landscapes were opened - this is an excellent addition to the theme and style of our performance, where the sea horizon, sunsets and sunrises are an important detail!
About process::
The Idea was born in October. Next, there was a search for material. But even then, I knew exactly in what style, atmosphere and what form of embodiment: a theatrical plastic performance in a single atmosphere with a video sequence. And I had a clear Idea where exactly our creative number should be shown..
We started rehearsing plastic choreography and working out the text (thought, subtexts, tasks) in December, once a week. Filming has been rescheduled for mid-January. We froze in the January wind, more than once doused (in the literal sense) by an icy sea! Then 5 evenings of editing. And there were only 2 rehearsals with video sequence synchronization: technical and general run! Literally a week before the exam, I managed to agree with the Art Gallery, where I planned to hold the test..
